What to wear-What not to wear

One of the main reasons why most of us don’t wear half of the clothing in our wardrobes is because it was either bought on impulse, we bought it just because it was on sale or its currently the must have garment of the season. If you’re anything like me you buy things because you like them (Never try them on in the fitting room) and when you finally do decide to wear it you realise that its not at all what you expected (in fact a big disappointment).
This is mainly because the items I like are not for our body shape. I came across the chart above and discovered that I fall into the full hour glass category and these are some general rules I should follow.

General Rules
*You need to wear shaped and fitted lines in order to follow your body line, but avoid bulk and volume around your feminine curves
*Wear a good supporting bra that will lift our bust and give you a more defined waist
*Bring attention to your shoulder and neckline; wear designs that bring the eye to the centre by wearing wider and lower necklines
*Extend the shoulder past the thickest part of the arms

Things to avoid
*Straight shapes that hide your waist
*Fussy styles and details that create additional volume around your bust, tummy, and thighs e.g. dropped sleeve lines, pleats, high-waisted styles, hip pockets
*High necklines that cover up your cleavage and décolleté e.g. turtle neck
*Boxy jackets, or double breasted styles, narrowing leg lines or wide/short sleeves which finish near your bust

So I've set myself a little task for the next time I shop and this is to remember my body shape and what styles suite me. To think twice before my next purchase.

Question: How do you shop, do you purchase what you like regardless of the body shape rules or are you aware of your body shape/size and only purchase what will flatters your shape?

Styled to Rock.

Most love her for her Music but I adore her style, she has the ability to pull off Cool and Quirky or Chic and Sophisticated. Who am I talking about you ask? Its Rihanna Ladies and Gents.
This young ladies style has taken the Fashion world by storm, so much so that she has her very own  clothing line with River Island (available Spring 2013)
River Island chief executive Ben Lewis said 'Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion. As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit.
'Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love.'
So roll on spring 2012 I thing this range will be Fab!!!

And that’s not all  Rihanna will soon to be taking over our big screens, with her very own fashion show (airing on sly living) called Styles to Rock. Henry Holland, Nicola Roberts and stylist Lysa Cooper will be judges on the programme

just a few pictures of some of my fav outfits worn by Rihanna.

LIVE.LAUGH & LOVE

Firstly I would like to say a BIG hello and thank you to all my new followers, I hope you’re all doing well and have had a good weekend.

So it’s Monday again!! Ive had so much going on since returning from Spain I decided that this weekend I’d take a few hours out, me time. I had a lovely late lunch by the river with a friend. Norwich is such a beautiful city I never really take the time out to enjoy it, it’s ever so easy to take what we have or where we live for granted when going about our busy everyday lives.
Since returning from Spain Ive made a conscious decision to LIVE.LAUGH & LOVE so much more, and to go for what I want in life starting from today. My to do list is huge but ill get through it….

Ive been finding it a little difficult taking pictures over the past few weeks as my new camera still has not arrived(which is so dam annoying)  my friend Sasha has been taking them for me. I was presently surprised with the pictures that I managed to capture using my iPhone and even more surprised with what I was able to do with them using some of the new apps, what do you think??

So what have you all be up to this weekend, anything interesting? or are you like me so many idea’s but no clue where to start….

Enjoy the rest of your week, catch up with you soon x

Just add colour.

It wasn't so long ago I said that I needed to add a bit more colour to my wardrobe as I always seem to stay in the safe lane, always sticking with neutral colours(boring). While in Spain I managed to get my hands on these jackets that I've wanted for ages but every time I tried to order them online my size was not available, so you cam imagine I was pretty chuffed when I found them and I didn't have to pay the original price. The shoes and neckless were from a little boutique, the scarfs from H&M and were only 3 euros each!! (apart from the scarf on the bottom  left which is from Primark £4 and the one on the bottom right was a gift)
so all in all I had a successful morning of shopping.

Now that the sales are on what have you bought?? have you been as lucky as I was with my Zara purchases?
